How many people use their google status for their actual status? Based on my own observations, most people throw some quote or comment in there most of the time. I'm as guilty as anyone.

I'm heading out to SanFran for training on April 12th. I've been there once, and I'm going to try to get a better look at the city this time. It'll be fun, but I'm going to miss my kids and wife horribly while I'm gone.

Drove about in the new RX-7 a bit today.* The tires on it are crap all-season Firestone jobbies. I had them squealing like a giggle of schoolgirls talking about boys for the first time without much effort at all. Even with the crap tires, the car handles well enough, but it belies its age a bit.

Fun fact segue!!! Modern minivans /smoke/ old Porches in handling. http://grassrootsmotorsports.com/articles/soccer-moms-revenge

I guess you can't expect a 21 year old sports car to be as good as a modern car. The Mazda 3 handles about as good, but it lacks the /involvement/ in the driving experience that the '7 has. I think with a bit of TLC the '7 will be back out in front. New tires, stiffer springs, new shocks and some polyurethane bushings are on the list.

This particular car is gorgeous. While not on the pure-sex level of, say, an Aston Martin Vanquish, it's nice to look at. I'm keeping it mostly stock.

The main consequense of driving the underpowered (to me) non-turbo RX-7 was that I want my turbo car ready to drive now, now, now. I just have to get my ass out into the garage and finish it. I have nobody to blame but myself.

Our Exalted game has had a bit of a setback. Our friend Sean, veteran of the London: Vampire, Dark Ages: Transylvania, overpowerd D&D and other games has had to bow out due to work, life and everything. He's traveling a lot and likely is getting a second job to pay for his daughter's school. Anyhow, he was our Twilight, and it was his job to /know/ stuff. Now we've got a Dawn, a Night and an Eclipse caste running about with no idea what we're doing. Our GM (The Ticktockman) /will/ let us twist in the wind until we can flesh out our own characters enough to fill in the gaps. I'm hoping Sean can come back soon. I don't want to have to learn sorcery and buy more dots in Lore. And Occult. You get the idea.

*This makes 4, for those counting. TWO ARE FOR SALE! Buy one now!

In the spirit of both Snatch and a sign at a small store in upper Vermont, near where my parents live that says: "Unattended children will be given a jumbo coffee and a free puppy" I've decided to motivate any buyers with the mean, ill-tempered mangy feral cats near my house.

"Mean, ill-tempered, mangy feral cat not included in sale. Buy now before I do include it."

Of course, once I found the red car (original owner, documented maintenance records, etc) I found a car in better shape, with waaaay less miles and better records (including the original window sticker) for sale by the original owners. I went to look at it on Saturday, and wrote a check on the spot.

The middle aged woman I bought it from cried a bit when she sold it. She also made me promise I wasn't going to chop it up, rice it out or abuse it in any way. I assured her sincerely that I would view being the second owner of her car as a /stewardship/ because this thing still /smells/ new.

Anyhow, here are the pictures:
