Jalopnik nails it perfectly: "When you're seven, driving fast is a simple concept. You don't really know oversteer or understeer or polar moments of inertia or curb appeal or sex appeal, and you don't yet care. You just know that cars should just skim down the road as fast as possible. It will be fun. There will be vents and fins and a scoop on the roof. There will be cool noises. There may or may not be rockets involved somehow, but that's it for options. When you're seven, the only cars you ever think of are race cars."

It is true that growing up goes hand in hand with the loss of simplicity. Knowledge kills dreams. Ignorance is bliss. All that.

Think back to the days where you knew if you just tried hard enough at something, it would work, no matter how improbable it really was. Driving fast in a race car. Flapping your arms to fly. Whatever.

Smile. Pay attention. Life goes by very, very fast. Memento Mori.

The weather here is crazy. Sixty-two on Sunday, like 40 and rainy today. At least in NY you knew what you were going to get in January.

As they say here: If you don't like the weather, just wait, it will change.
As we said in the Northeast: If you don't like the weather, move!

How did I miss this before? The Perry Bible Fellowship has gone into hibernation, but now... now I have this!

This one made me laugh.

The follow up made me laugh harder.
